Success with WGD events
It is a collaborative effort by a dedicated team, golf management companies, retailers and organizations all working together to engage, empower and support girls and women through golf. The four hour experience allows a simple and accessible platform to build a foundation and creates a network to support the continuation of golf no matter what skill level or interest while engaging them in a charitable cause with global impact from a local level.
“Women’s Golf Day provided our guests with a fun and engaging format to mix golf and mingling with new friends. We were able to highlight our Top Tracer range to help new players learn the game. We also held a fun scramble golf tournament so everyone could enjoy the WGD experience. Our guests formed new friendships to enjoy the game with together.”

Hello Elisa,
Greetings to you from Uganda East Africa. Ssekamwa Isaac is my name the director of Canaan high school. I am glad and grateful for the work you are doing for women and the girl child. We do have teens from our school and ladies from around our area that play golf from our village in Lugazi Uganda at Metha golf course. With due respect attached to your office, I wanted to put in our application for registration.
We also desire working and partnering with you through this sport.
I pray you find time to accommodate my sincere request in your busy schedule.

As one of the leading golf resorts in Europe, we have a responsibility to do everything we can to promote women’s golf. Growing the game is incredibly important to us and it was fantastic to be able to participate in and celebrate this day, even if it was on a smaller scale than we would like to.

The combined reach of the International Golf Brand and the invitation to Five Iron lead 53 Women to participate and feel comfortable learning about the game of golf. The exposure helped our brand and lead to double digit numbers of new customers for lessons and simulator time.
When imagining the winning formula for maximum exposure for our facility through International Women’s Day of Golf I asked friend and author, Rhonda Vetere to discuss her love of golf to our women customers. Rhonda was our “hook” to get customers interested and energized. Rhonda spoke about the passion she has for the game and how it helps her personally and professionally. Our staff gave lessons in our simulators to familiarize our customers with how to utilize our technology. Our hope is that they learn the game of golf from our lessons, while using a golf simulator and beyond.

We are an athletic club first with golf being just one of 19 sports at the club for our members to enjoy. Our goal in hosting a Women’s Golf Day event was to target our younger athletic members of the team sports like field hockey, soccer, basketball, squash and bring them to golf. The social and international group aspect #womensgolfday made it attractive to our younger members. Also making it an “a la carte” event where flexible arrival time during the two hours made it a success at The Olympic Club.
